Located on the western edge of Cuyahoga County, Westlake is about one mile south of the southern shore of Lake Erie and is a 15-minute commute to downtown Cleveland.
Westlake’s began in October 10, 1810. Two families arrived by oxcart to set up homesteads in Township 7, Range 15, of the recently created Connecticut Western Reserve.
